Grubido.com: Where Food Connects Culture & People
Spread the love

Dear Grubido’s,

After 10 years of vision, faith, and hard work, I’m proud to finally welcome you to Grubido.com, your new digital home where African, Caribbean, and Afro-Latino culture and cuisine come together.

Grubido was born from my love for food and my roots. The nickname “Grubido” came to me during a childhood trip to Nigeria, and it stuck. Years later, while praying for a name that captured both my passion and heritage, that word came back full circle. It means more than food, it means connection, culture, and community.

Growing up in Alief, Texas, my mother’s kitchen was a gathering place for the Nigerian community. Watching her serve not just meals but lasting memories inspired me to do the same on a global scale.

Today, Grubido.com is a growing platform with:

A directory for African, Caribbean & Afro-Latino food businesses
A cultural events calendar
News + stories from our community
Features that spotlight food entrepreneurs & traditions

We are officially in beta mode, which means we’re still growing and adding more businesses, events, and stories. And we need your help.

– Please share Grubido.com with friends, family & food business owners
– Submit your events & businesses to be featured
– Sign up for our newsletter and stay connected

This is just the beginning, and it’s becoming delicious. Thank you for being here. See you at the table.

With love,
Kavachi
Founder, Grubido
