Chef Helen Conway’s culinary journey began right after high school in 1994, when she first started cooking authentic Jamaican dishes in her hometown. With a passion for the rich flavors of her culture, she honed her skills and quickly became known for her expertly crafted, flavorful meals. In 2006, Chef Conway moved to Houston, bringing with her a deep love for Jamaican cuisine and a dream to share it with others. In 2016, that dream became a reality when she opened Helen’s Kitchen, a vibrant and beloved eatery serving traditional Jamaican food that captures the heart and soul of the island. Known for her spicy jerk chicken, tender oxtails, and savory patties, Chef Helen continues to serve up dishes that transport diners straight to Jamaica with every bite.
